Its me again,
I had been asking God to show me what to do for my devotions or "God time". He showed me a book by Joyce Myer called Addiction Approval. As I started reading it I realized that it described me. Sad but true. I am not very far but I have learned some things. (Some lines are direct quotations from the book but look funny if I put quotations around them, i will mark them with stars.**)
*First, I struggle a lot with how I think others view me, I see myself in a wrong light, and have some wrong beliefs about myself. I had been seeing myself as un worthy, unloveable etc. Plus I struggled a lot with what to do with my devotions and "being good enough" for God. The truth is that nothing we do is ever good enough. I have been saved by God's grace and his free gift of salvation. I sometimes forget that that is enough and that it is not works or striving but failing.
**If our job were to achieve, we would be called achievers, not believers. ( Being a perfectionist this i think is even more of a struggle for me)
*All I have to do is believe and let God do the work in me, changing me to be the person he wants me to be.
**God loves me unconditionally, and He is pleased with me.
* No matter how much I mess up and make mistakes, I am still priceless to God
**God loves us because He wants to, not because of anything we do to earn or merit His love.
* I am righteous...( 2 Cor

Finding Me
I seem to have misplaced part of me a few years ago. I used to be a person full of joy. I am hoping to find that person again. I think that I need to spend regular time with friends again... really make an effort to. I think I also need to find a woman's Bible study, a place where I can share and stretch in my faith. Part of me has learned a lot about God's faithfullness and provision in the last two years. Part of me is still learning who I am. I am also kicking the idea around of having a small group for teen girls with various subjects that teens/adults deal with. Subjects that hit pretty close to home myself.
I guess I will see what God has in mind.
Feel free to drop a line

Long time coming
Well, its been a while...
New Years...
The expression " Run for your lives" comes to mind as I recall our last "Grand Finally" firework.
It tipped over and started rolling, shooting fireworks in all directions. We decided to hide behind the car. A moment to laugh about once the scariness was done.
I also celebrated New Years with the stomach flu...Not so much fun. I finally got over that this last Sunday. I was so happy to finally be able to eat and not wonder if I was going to be seeing it later. Oh and to make things even better, I got a cold to top it off. Still working on getting better with that. I also lovingly shared my flu with my Hubby...who is starting to feel better.
Last night I went on a slay ride with my caregroup. That was fun. On the way to Del and Lou's I experienced some road rage at a coyote, who wouldn't run faster than 45 km/h and wouldn't get off the road. So for those at the Friesen Residence, I was honking at an annoying Coyote. I finally passed it by Del and Pat's.
Wondering what to make for supper....got any ideas?

Today is my last day of Christmas Vacation.
I made pancakes for breakfast...they didn't turn out very well. oops.
The other day I made a list of things that I would like to do
Here is the list:
*Take a pottery class
*Make a piece of furniture
*Take a martial arts class
*Take a dance class
*Take a course (Bible School)
*Take a painting class
*Make a rag quilt
*Get physically fit
*Start running again
*Finish Painting/renovating our home
*Keep on growing in God
*Keep on learning new things about us and our marriage
What are your goals and ideas of things you would like to do

First One
I write my first blog sitting here by my computer, occasionally brushing dog hair off the keyboard for I am trying to win the trust of a new pet. She likes me more than Adam but she still trembles except for short bursts of non trembling. I hope to win her trust completely so she can lay on my lap and not fear. She goes by the name of River, she is part Chihuahua and Jack Russel terrier. I think she has more of the second in her for she is really big and takes up my whole lap. We got her last night and I held her on my lap all the way home.
Today has been a bit of a weird day. My brain has started off as being about as stable as a pinball in a pinball game. Which has left me out of sorts and going bonkers. I wondered why I was unable to relax. I thought that time off was what I wanted to do things that I wanted to do.
So today I will do laundry, hopefully visit my family, and maybe put a puzzle together..
