Its me again,
I had been asking God to show me what to do for my devotions or "God time". He showed me a book by Joyce Myer called Addiction Approval. As I started reading it I realized that it described me. Sad but true. I am not very far but I have learned some things. (Some lines are direct quotations from the book but look funny if I put quotations around them, i will mark them with stars.**)
*First, I struggle a lot with how I think others view me, I see myself in a wrong light, and have some wrong beliefs about myself. I had been seeing myself as un worthy, unloveable etc. Plus I struggled a lot with what to do with my devotions and "being good enough" for God. The truth is that nothing we do is ever good enough. I have been saved by God's grace and his free gift of salvation. I sometimes forget that that is enough and that it is not works or striving but failing.
**If our job were to achieve, we would be called achievers, not believers. ( Being a perfectionist this i think is even more of a struggle for me)
*All I have to do is believe and let God do the work in me, changing me to be the person he wants me to be.
**God loves me unconditionally, and He is pleased with me.
* No matter how much I mess up and make mistakes, I am still priceless to God
**God loves us because He wants to, not because of anything we do to earn or merit His love.
* I am righteous...( 2 Cor

Finding Me
I seem to have misplaced part of me a few years ago. I used to be a person full of joy. I am hoping to find that person again. I think that I need to spend regular time with friends again... really make an effort to. I think I also need to find a woman's Bible study, a place where I can share and stretch in my faith. Part of me has learned a lot about God's faithfullness and provision in the last two years. Part of me is still learning who I am. I am also kicking the idea around of having a small group for teen girls with various subjects that teens/adults deal with. Subjects that hit pretty close to home myself.
I guess I will see what God has in mind.
Feel free to drop a line

Long time coming
Well, its been a while...
New Years...
The expression " Run for your lives" comes to mind as I recall our last "Grand Finally" firework.
It tipped over and started rolling, shooting fireworks in all directions. We decided to hide behind the car. A moment to laugh about once the scariness was done.
I also celebrated New Years with the stomach flu...Not so much fun. I finally got over that this last Sunday. I was so happy to finally be able to eat and not wonder if I was going to be seeing it later. Oh and to make things even better, I got a cold to top it off. Still working on getting better with that. I also lovingly shared my flu with my Hubby...who is starting to feel better.
Last night I went on a slay ride with my caregroup. That was fun. On the way to Del and Lou's I experienced some road rage at a coyote, who wouldn't run faster than 45 km/h and wouldn't get off the road. So for those at the Friesen Residence, I was honking at an annoying Coyote. I finally passed it by Del and Pat's.
Wondering what to make for supper....got any ideas?
